Terms of service

Last updated: July 15, 2026

1. Services overview

1.1 Project-based services

Projects — websites, funnels, web applications, or defined feature builds — are scoped on a discovery call and quoted individually:

  • Scope and deliverables defined in a written proposal before work begins
  • Fixed timeline and price agreed before project commencement
  • Revision rounds specified in the project quote
  • Milestone updates throughout the build

1.2 Ongoing product engagements

For SaaS platforms and products that continue evolving after launch, we offer subscription-based engagements shaped around the client's needs:

  • Continuous development, support, and iteration as agreed in the engagement scope
  • Month-to-month billing unless otherwise agreed — no long-term lock-in
  • Scope, capacity, and priorities reviewed together on a recurring basis

2. Payment terms

2.1 Ongoing engagements

  • Billed monthly in advance
  • Pause or cancel with notice, effective at the end of the current billing period
  • Unused capacity does not roll over to the next month
  • Services are non-transferable to other parties

2.2 Projects

  • A 50% deposit is required to commence work
  • The remaining balance is due before delivery of final files and handover
  • The project timeline begins upon receipt of the deposit and all required materials
  • Rush fees may apply for expedited timelines

3. Client responsibilities

To keep projects on schedule, the client agrees to provide in a timely manner:

  • Brand assets and guidelines (if existing)
  • Content, copy, and imagery required for the work
  • Access to relevant accounts and systems (hosting, domains, third-party services)
  • Feedback and approvals within agreed review windows

Delays in providing materials or feedback may extend the project timeline accordingly.

4. Scope changes

Requests outside the agreed scope are welcome but may affect cost and timeline. Material scope changes will be quoted and agreed in writing before additional work begins.

5. Intellectual property

Upon full payment, the client owns the final deliverables produced for their project. Carasant retains the right to display completed work in its portfolio and marketing materials unless otherwise agreed in writing. Pre-existing tools, libraries, and internal systems used to deliver the work remain the property of Carasant or their respective licensors.

6. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential information — business plans, credentials, unreleased products, commercial terms — private, during and after the engagement.

7. Warranties and liability

We build carefully and test before delivery. However, services are provided "as is" without warranties of specific business outcomes. Our total liability for any claim arising from an engagement is limited to the total amount paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for issues caused by third-party services, hosting providers, or changes made by others to delivered work.

8. Cancellation

If a project is cancelled after commencement, the client pays for work completed up to the cancellation date. Deposits cover work performed and are non-refundable once work has begun.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies to new engagements from its "last updated" date; existing engagements continue under the terms agreed at signing.
